Best Self Help Books
This is a list of the best self help books that I have ever read. Each of these books have meant a lot to my personal growth as a person, and have influenced my teachings to varying degrees.
All of these self help books come highly recommended by me for anyone looking to improve their life. I've made it easy for you to get these books by providing a link to them on Amazon.
1) The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
by Steven Covey
by Steven Covey
One of the finest Self Help books ever written, a modern classic. Covey discusses developing the habits necessary to become productive and build a life of success and happiness.
2) How to Win Friends and Influence People
by Dale Carnegie
by Dale Carnegie
The best book on dealing with people ever written. A timeless classic. If you want to learn how to gain the respect and attention of others, this book is a must read.
3) The Dip
by Seth Godin
by Seth Godin
This choice may surprise people because the book is so small and not as well-known as the others on the list. However, I learned more from this book than scores of 300-page books. Godin keeps things simple and helps instill an attitude in you to appreciate the obstacles in life that you used to hate. An awesome quick read!
4) 7 Strategies for Wealth and Happiness
by Jim Rohn
by Jim Rohn
I'll read, listen to, or watch anything by Jim Rohn. The guy was a great teacher and motivator. His products are truly inspirational and this is the best that I've read. Learn how to create a powerful life for yourself to become wealthy in many ways.
5) Mastery: The Keys to Success and Long-Term Fulfillment
by George Leonard
by George Leonard
If you want to because a master at something, this book is a great place to learn what it takes. Learn how to focus with laser-like intensity on something to catapult your life to new heights. You will get a lot out of this book as it is likely very different from most things you have ever.
6) Think and Grow Rich
by Napoleon Hill
by Napoleon Hill
At the risk of offending all the other self help "gurus" out there, this is #6 on my list. It is a timeless classic, and the only reason it is not #1 is that there's a lot of weird stuff that you'll have to weed out when reading it. Still, if you are serious about self growth, you cannot go without reading the most influential book in the history of personal development. The version I show here is an updated version, so there may be less weird stuff!
7) How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing With People
by Les Giblin
by Les Giblin
This is the modern version of How to Win Friends and Influence People. It's not a completely the same and there's certainly a lot of good stuff in this one that isn't in the Carnegie book. I would highly recommend reading the classic first and then reading this one for a more modern voice.
